RECIPE CHICKEN TONKATSU

Poultry dishes from Japan for 4 persons, suitable for for children or prepare with children.

Ingredients

  • 2 chickenbreasts
  • 1/2 onion
  • 8 shitakes
  • 1/4 cabbage, shredded
  • 1 stalk of broccoli
  • curry to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 beaten egg
  • japanese breadcrumbs
  • flour
  • Miso Sauce
  • 2 ounces miso, red
  • 45 cc worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 30 cc sake
  • 1 tsp sugar

Preparation

Prepare chicken so a little bag forms, be careful not to cut too deep.

Mince shitake and onion. Cut broccoli in bitesize pieces and steam for a minute.

Saute onion and shitake and bring to taste with curry, salt and pepper, leave to cool.

Mix all ingredients for sauce and heat until it thickens.

Stuff chicken with onion and shitake and close well. Coat with flour, then egg and breadcrumbs. Deep fry in hot oil until done.

Slice and serve with broccoli and steamed broccoli and cabbage and some sauce.
