RECIPE JAPANESE DUCK WITH SWEET SAUCE

Poultry dishes from Japan for 2 persons

Ingredients

  • 1 eggplant, cubed
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 duckbreasts, skinless, cut up
  • 4 pieces ginger
  • oil
  • 2 tbsp yakitorisauce
  • 4 dried figs

Preparation

Preferably use sweet ginger (hajikami) and yakitorisauce.

Saute eggplant cubes in hot oil.

Layer eggplant and duckbreast pieces in ovendish and drizzle with some yakitori sauce. Grill for about 5 mins under hot grill or until duck is done.

Saute figs in butter.

Serve duck garnished with figs and sweet ginger.
