RECIPE JAPANESE FRIED CHICKEN (KARE AGE DISH)

Very good in a bento box with other dishes!

Poultry dishes from Japan for 3 persons, suitable for for children or prepare with children.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pnd chicken breast or meat from thigh
  • some japanese ricewine
  • salt
  • oil to fry
  • Nustard batter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp wasabi
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp water

Preparation

Cut up cicken and sprinkle with salt and ricewine. Leave to marinate for about 15 mins.

Mix yolks with water and wasabi, then add flour and mix until a nice smooth batter forms.

Heat oil until about 180C/350F. Dip chicken in batter, let excess batter drip off and fry in oil. Leave to drain on papertowels.
