RECIPE BABI KETJAP, PORK IN SWEET SOY

Nice pork stew with sweet soy.

Ingredients

  • About 1 1/2 pnd pork, cubed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, rougly chopped
  • 1/2 sweet indonesian soy, Ketjap
  • 1 chili, roughly chopped
  • 1/2-1 beef stock cube
  • 1 cup water.

Preparation

Marinate meat in garlic, some oil and 3 tbsp ketjap.

Heat oil in pan and add the rest of the garlic, onion and brown meat on all sides.

When done lower heat and add half the ketjap, ginger, chili, stock cube and water and bring to a boil. Leave to simmer for about 3 hours until meat is soft. Stir regularly. Add more water, stockcube or ketjap to taste.

Last half hour take lid of pan to reduce sauce. It shouldn't be dry but not thin either.
