RECIPE CHINESE IMPERIAL PALACE GENERAL TSOS CHICKEN

Ingredients

  • Sauce
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup soysauce
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1/3 cup sherry
  • 1 cup concentrated chickenstock
  • Meat
  • 3 pounds sliced chickenbreast
  • 1/3 cup soysauce
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 cup of flour
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 pnd chopped spring onions
  • 8 birdseye chilis, sliced, seeds removed

Preparation

Mix all sauce ingredients.

Mix soy with chicken. Stir in beaten egg and flour untill every piece is covered. Deepfry all pieces and leave to drain on some kitchen paper.

Heat some oil in wok and stirfry spring onion and chilis, about 30 seconds. Stir in sauce until it thickens. When sauce is thick enough add chicken.

Serve with steamed rice.
