Rice dishes from Vietnam

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped finely
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, pealed and chopped
  • cauliflower, cut in florets
  • broccoli, cut in florets
  • some chinese cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tbsp fishsauce (nam-pla)
  • 1 tbsp shrimpsauce

Preparation

Cook rice according to package and let it cool down.

Heat wok and stir fry garlic and onion for a minute, add shrimp- and fishsauce en leave for a minute, turn down heat.

Make an omelet from the egg and cut up, add to sauce. Add tomato and other vegetables to sauce and stir fry until almost done, but still crisp.

Add rice and turn heat up, stir fry until 'dry', add more fishsauce to taste.
