RECIPE TONKATSU

The Japanse "Wienerschnitzel".

Meat dishes from Japan for 4 persons, suitable for for children or prepare with children.

Ingredients

  • 4 pork steaks, flattened
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 cups Panko (japanese breadcrumbs)
  • Deepfryer/Wok with oil
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage

Preparation

Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper to taste. Coat with flour, then coat with egg mixture then cover with panko. Leave to cool for at least 1 1/2 hours, to make sure the crispy crust sticks well.

Deep fry until doen, make sure the oil is hot enough! It should sizzle a lot when the meat is added.

To serve slice thinly and serve with Tonkatsu sauce on a bed of cabbage.
