RECIPE BIRYANI

Recipe for a very nice chicken rice dish, it's a very filling dish!

Poultry dishes from India for 4 persons

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, cut up, sprinkled with salt, pepper
  • salt
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • ginger, 1 inch, finely minced
  • 1 green chili, minced
  • 2 handsfull of koriander, roughly chopped
  • 1 cardamom pod
  • 3 bayleaves
  • 2 sticks of cinnamon
  • 1 cup hazelnuts, roasted
  • 1 cup of yoghurt
  • 4 tbsp fried onions
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp rosewater
  • 2 cups of rice, cooked
  • 3 tbsp milk

Preparation

Saute onions, cardemom, bayleaf and cinamon. Add chicken pcs and add
garlic, koriander, ginger and chili.

Saute until chicken is done. Take chicken out and take of the meat in small
pieces.

Add yoghurt and half the fried onions and vinegar. Mix well. Then add the
chicken pieces.

In ovendish layer chickenmixture, then rice, chicken, etc. Finally add the
fried onions, hazelnuts and sprinkle with rosewater and milk. Cover with
waxpaper an roast in a preheated oven for 10 mins at 180C/360F.
